Piperazzi on Monday
This photo? Something different... These figurines are called Men of Glaur. Each represents a
member of a fictitious clan and is named according to his trade. Hence, McBlaw, the piper. I collected these over some years
and the last time I was in Edinburgh, I found a shop on the Royal Mile that had a few on display. The owner told me that the man who
made these had died some years ago and those she had out were all that remained. I have all of the set, I believe,
but I did lose the little write up that came with each one. They were humorous bits describing the functions of each within the clan,
under the thumb of "Himself" chief of the Men of Glaur.
